Spring is a wonderful time for family photos. You can opt for a cherry blossom setting or a natural outdoor one. Spring is an uplifting time after the gloom of winter. The golden hour before sunset is later than in winter, making it easier to schedule after work, but not as late as in summer, so the little ones as not as tired. The grass, leaves and blooms are vibrant and fresh.

Soft, light colors work well around the lush tones of spring. Muted shades of pink, light blue, cream or off-white are the most favorable palette. Small floral patterns or gingham are fine, so long as some of you are wearing block colors.
