Natural posed and Lifestyle Newborn Session
Welcoming a new baby is a really special time!
It’s so memorable and emotional that sometimes you just wish you could freeze and enjoy every moment with your baby.
My aim is to create simple, modern and timeless images to remind you of this incredible chapter in your life.
Newborn sessions are held in your home with natural light in Portland, OR, Vancouver, WA.
I can promise consistent results, which is crucial because you can’t turn back time.
You have a choice of a natural posed or unposed lifestyle newborn session.
This session includes individual pictures of your baby, as well as photos of siblings, parents, and the whole family if you’d like.
Newborn sessions typically take place around 2 weeks of age, capturing their newborn goodness, but these sessions are also great for older babies too! Capturing all ages is just as amazing as capturing the newborn stage.

The Studio.
I have a custom-built photography studio at my home in Portland, OR, and it is perfect for the sessions I offer. I also travel to clients' homes for sessions.
The wardrobe.
When it comes to wardrobe choices, I recommend solid light colors and natural fabrics. Please avoid bright white, although off-white is great. I also have several dresses for moms and the cutest knits and wraps for your newborn.
The process.
You will receive detailed guidance from me about your session, with wardrobe choices and how to prepare your newborn. I have such a beautiful collection of knitted outfits for newborns, wraps and blankets that you don’t need to have anything.
These sessions can take 2-3 hours as we need time to feed and settle and certainly not a process we wish to rush. I want you to feel calm and comfortable during the session.
Once we’re finished, you’ll receive your gallery approximately 72 hours later.

Maternity
Maternity sessions are best done around 32-34 weeks.
$400 — 30 minute session with 10 digitals
$550 — 1 hour session with all the best digital images

Questions and answers.
When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?
It’s ideal to schedule the session within the first two weeks of the baby’s arrival. This is when newborns are sleepier and more flexible for posing. I can do newborns up to 5 weeks of age, even older. But to get the sleepy shots it is best sooner than later.
How long does a newborn session typically last?
A newborn session usually takes around 2-3 hours. When siblings are involved the process can take longer.
What should we wear for the session?
I recommend solid light colors and natural fabrics. It’s best to avoid bright white; however, off-white works great. I also have adorable knits and wraps available for your newborn.
How soon will we receive our photos after the session?
You can expect to receive your gallery approximately 72 hours after the session. Yes, I deliver edited photos very quickly.
Do you offer family photos during the newborn session?
Yes, definitely. The session includes individual images of your baby, as well as photos with siblings, parents, and the entire family if desired. It can also be a baby-only session.
What if my baby is fussy and uncooperative during the session?
It’s completely normal for newborns to be fussy at times. If your baby needs a break or a feeding, we can pause the session to ensure their comfort. Patience is key, and I’ll work at your baby’s pace to capture beautiful moments.
Do you offer outdoor newborn sessions?
Absolutely! I love outdoor newborn showers!
Can I order prints and products through your studio?
I get a little depressed when I think about a photo archive stored somewhere in the cloud or on a hard drive.
I offer high-quality print and products for your home. It is important to me that you have high-quality products for your high-quality images.
So please print your photos!
What if I need to reschedule the session?
Life is complicated and the unexpected is to be expected. So I am very flexible. If you need to reschedule the session, please notify me as soon as possible, and we can work together to find a new suitable date. I don’t do refunds. But happy to reschedule.
Do you offer payment plans for your packages?
I do. I know how life is getting more expensive these days. So I can split your payments in 2, 3 or 4 instalments. As long as the full amount is received by the time we do the session.
Absolutely stunning, jaw-dropping photos. Irina captured the beauty of our new family and every detail of my newborn to perfection. She was extremely professional, kind and worked so well with a newborn for his photos. We are new to the process but we didn’t realize how much patience it takes working with a newborn and not every photographer has that! Irina was so patient with our newborn, she held her, helped calm her, and it took awhile. Irina was punctual and respectful, she has a very calming presence and was so kind.
